35th anniversary of the ‘Alien’

35 years ago one monster changed the world of fantastic cinematography. The movie ”Alien”, made by young Ridley Scott, manager to enter popular culture with it’s clever combination of science fiction and horror. This monster is the product of a great mind of H.R. Giger, a Swiss artist and a 20th century icon.

Today, after three and a half decades, it is useful to remind ourselves of all the influences that made this film a legend of horror. But, we can also ask ourselves what is the message of the movie and how can we interpret it in our modern age of existential terror. Hear what Aleksandar Žiljak, an awarded SF author, editor, film lecturer and illustrator, has to say about these topics.
